How will our basic food ingredients change as the climate becomes increasingly extreme, crops fail, and populations grow?
The speculative docu-fiction Unseen Edible by Julia Schwarz lays the foundation for UNSEEN EDIBLES. Together with Creative Strategist Lisi Penker, the first lichen-based foods are developed. They experiment with the different, unknown tastes of lichen:

UNSEEN EDIBLES conceived a lichen-based gin for the opening festival of Design in Gesellschaft, with Icelandic lichen and Moschendorfer lichen. The recipe was formulated by 1010 Essentials, a fine Viennese distillery.
